WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- For the first time ever, the Wake Forest men's tennis team is heading to the NCAA Championship.
The top-seeded Demon Deacons held off a rally by No. 5 Texas A&M in the NCAA Tournament semifinal to win 4-3.
Wake Forest led A&M 3-1 before the Aggies tied the weather-delayed match Monday. In the end, Christian Seraphim held off Barnaby Smith in three sets to clinch the win for the Demon Deacons.
The victory sends No. 1 Wake Forest to Tuesday's championship match to take on No. 3 Ohio State.
The final match is set for 5 p.m. at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex in Winston-Salem.
