GREENSBORO, N.C. --- After a cold weekend, temperatures will begin to moderate a little Monday and Tuesday, before bitterly cold air arrives by mid week.

It'll be a cold start to Monday with early morning temperatures in the 20s across the area. Thanks to plenty of sunshine and a light SW wind, temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 40s for most neighborhoods. A few locations may even reach the low 50s.

We'll see more of the same Tuesday as fas as temperatures are concerned. Late Tuesday, a cold front will move across the area. This front won't have enough moisture available to produce precipitation, but it will introduce another blast of cold air to the region.

By Wednesday morning, temperatures will be in the teens across the Piedmont. With a breeze, it'll feel like it's in the single digits in some locations. Afternoon highs Wednesday will struggle to make it into the mid 30s. Temperatures will moderate as we head into next weekend.
