Greensboro City crews are trying to repair another water main break. This one occurred on South Elm-Eugene Street between East Florida and West Terrell Streets. City crews are still trying to shut off the water before they can make repairs. Crews are expected to continue to work for next few hours.


There's a water main break in Eden. Roads are closed in the area of South Van Buren. There's no estimated time on when it will reopen.

The City of Greensboro has responded to a number of water main breaks, at least eight within a 24-hour period.

Wednesday morning, a break caused all southbound lanes of US Highway 29 between Phillips Ave. and East Wendover Ave. to close. All southbound traffic is being diverted onto Summit Avenue. There's no timetable for when the lanes will reopen.

Another water main break occurred late in the evening on Tuesday once again in the West Friendly Avenue at North Holden Road area. This is near the same area where a water main break occurred during the morning hours. The area has since reopened.
