GREENSBORO, N.C. — It's another stormy Friday in the Piedmont. Scattered showers are likely for the morning, but a line of thunderstorms will head our way for the early afternoon. It's possible a few could bring some strong wind gusts, or even turn severe. Here's what the WFMY News 2 Weather Team is tracking.
A cold front is marching our way from the west. It will be moving into the Piedmont by the afternoon hours. This push of cooler air will ignite some thunderstorms, mainly from the midday to early afternoon hours. This setup is not as strong as last week, but it still could lead to some damaging wind gusts if severe storms are able to develop.
TIMING:
- Foothills: 10am - 2pm
- Piedmont-Triad: 12pm - 4pm
