Christmas Cookie Made in the Triad is Worth $100,000

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- There is nothing cookie-cutter about this Christmas cookie.

State Street Jewelers and Maxie B's Bakery teamed up to create a Christmas-tree shaped cookie adorned with precious gemstones and diamonds.

The Greensboro businesses showcased the cookie at the jewelry store on Small Business Saturday.

The nine-inch tall cookie is worth $100,000, and according to State Street Jewelers, it's the world's most expensive Christmas cookie!

State Street Jewelers says the individual bejeweled cookies that make up the tree are for sale. The jewels will be made into a custom piece of jewelry.

The businesses say ten percent of the cookie sales will go to Greensboro Urban Ministries.

The cookie tree will be on display until Christmas Eve.
