Automobiles Help Raise Money For Jim's Kids

ASHEBORO, N.C.-- Cars, trucks, and motorcycles will take to the road this weekend for a special cause.

Nita's Boutique and Dalke Motorsports are hosting the 4th annual Classic Car and Truck Show and 11th annual Motorcycle Ride Saturday in Asheboro. All proceeds from the event will go to Jim's Kids.

Jim's Kid's, founded more than 30 years ago, helps children with disabilities - and their families - pay for medical expenses.

Registration for the car and truck show is from 8 to 10 a.m. in the CarQuest parking lot in Hammer Village. The address is 831 E. Dixie Dr. Judging will take place from 10 a.m. until noon, and judges will hand out awards at 1 p.m.

The cost of registration is $20 per car or truck.

The Jim's Kids Motorcycle Ride is $10 per rider.

Registration for the ride begins at 11 a.m., lunch is served at 12:30 p.m., and the ride starts at 2 p.m. The ride will end at First Baptist Church on Church Street in Asheboro here Jim's Kids will have their "Christmas in July" party.

The ride is in memory of Jim Bullins, founder of Jim's Kids.
