Go Around The World In An Afternoon

Greensboro, N.C. -- A romantic trip to the Caribbean or a family vacation to the beach sounds nice right about now.

Friday on the Good Morning Show, WFMY News 2's Tracey McCain and Chuck Joyce from A Way To Go Travel talked about how to get you there for less money and hassle so you have more time for fun.

Joyce says the most popular time to travel is right now. "January through March, when it's cold here and warm there. Spring and summer breaks are popular too when the kids are out of school. As well as over the holidays," he said.

Booking a trip during the busy travel season can be more expensive. "Make sure you book early. That's the only way to guarantee the lowest prices and the best availability," said Joyce. "Travel in September and October will save money," he added. He pointed to several deals you can find on cruises during that time of year. "The months of September and October are also in Hurricane season. It can be a great way to save money, but be aware of the risks and buy trip insurance."

So now you know when to get a good deal, where should you go? "Anywhere in the Caribbean," is popular said Joyce. Mexico, Costa Rica, Europe, St. Lucia, Turks & Caicos are the other popular destinations.

Joyce also listed his favorite resorts. "Secrets Resorts, Couples Swept Away, Excellence Resorts, Grace Bay Club and Ladera are all great," he said.
