Thousands Graduating From Guilford County Schools

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- It's a big weekend for thousands of Guilford County Schools students.

They'll cross the stage at the Greensboro Coliseum and start a new chapter of their lives. It's officially graduation season.

Graduations are already under way in Guilford County. Students at Weaver Academy had the honor of crossing the stage first. And soon, they'll be joined by more than 5,000 other students.

The class of 2014 was offered a total of nearly $150 million in scholarships, and 13 students were National Merit or National Achievement Scholars.

They've done all the work, now it's time to cross the stage.
