Dating During The Holidays
It's almost time for snow and mistletoe. The holiday season his here. And with all the fun. Can come a big problem for couples in navigating a new relationship during the holidays?
If you're not careful then the holidays can speed up your relationship prematurely. You might think that spending time together automatically means a serious relationship. You might feel pressure from family about having a special someone during the holidays. Remember that your relationship should be on your terms and not anyone else's.
Not having any expectations is a great way to take away the pressure of family and holidays on a new relationship. Enjoy each other. Enjoy the moment. Have fun.
If your new someone wants a commitment and you're not ready then it's time for a conversation. Be honest. Be sensitive to their feelings. And level.
Keeping The Sparkle In Your Relationship During The Holidays
The holidays are time for love, family and sharing joy. Unfortunately over time, some couples lose their sparkle. Many couples become disconnected during holidays because of differences over finances, child rearing, work obligations, drifting apart.
If you want your marriage to work out then show your spouse that you do. Show appreciation. Spend time together. Make out.
In my opinion, touch is critical. Touch releases oxytocin, a hormone, which reduces stress and lowers your stress hormone (cortisol). And it feels good. A touch on the check, shoulder, tush. With a tender pressure. When you kiss, let your foreheads touch afterwards, which is a tender moment. Get close.
