GREENSBORO, NC -- Do you want to be "in the know"? 2 Wants To Know is looking for volunteers for our Call For Action group. This trained group of volunteers helps others with their consumer issues and acts as their advocates with businesses, agencies and beyond!
For instance, right now our Call For Action volunteers are working with your neighbors to get their rewards cards they were promised from a cable/internet provider. Each volunteer is trained how to use our computer system to log their cases, what resources are available to help them moderate a reasonable resolution and more. Since Call For Action has been with News 2, the group has helped get back $2.3 million dollars in goods and services for our viewers.
Volunteers usually are in the WFMY News 2 office one day a week for three hours. Just recently one of our long time volunteers, Jane, retired from her volunteer work. We'd love to have you join us! Please email Tanya: trivera@wfmy.com
