GREENSBORO, N.C. - It's a Thanksgiving tradition.
On Tuesday, Lawndale Baptist Church will host its "Feeding The 5000" event in Greensboro.
It includes Thanksgiving meal giveaways, live music, and gospel service.
The church plans on giving boxes of food to families in need for the holiday.
The boxes come with traditional Thanksgiving food items, including turkey, stuffing, green beans, potatoes, cranberry sauce, and apple pie.
Each box will feed a total of five people.
The church will hand out the boxes of food to the first 1,000 families in line.
The event starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 9:45 a.m.
