Meet Real CSI Agents During National Forensics Science Week

The free events will be held on Tuesday, Sept, 19 from 6-8 pm at Walmart, 2106 Pyramid Villages and on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 6-8 pm at Walmart, W. Elmsley St.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro Police Department is celebrating National Forensics Science Week.

Police are hosting three events for parents and children to meet real-life crime scene investigators.

CSI agents will assist parents in completing Child ID Kits from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The free events will be held on Tuesday, Sept, 19 from 6-8 pm at Walmart, 2106 Pyramid Villages and on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 6-8 pm at Walmart, W. Elmsley St.

Children may also receive coloring sheets, badge stickers, ‘CSI Crime Scene’ wrist bands and other items during the fingerprinting events.

The major event is called "A Day in the Life: Crime Scene Investigator."

It's for people age 14 and above who are interested in learning more about crime scene investigation.

The free three-hour class will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 9 am to noon at The Public Safety Training Facility, 1510 N. Church St.

“CSI: Real Life” will dispel myths about forensic science that have been perpetuated by popular TV shows and answer questions participants have about the field.
