Greensboro – The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, today selected forwards Cole Huff from Creighton and Daniel Dingle from Temple and guard Denzel Ingram from UNC Wilmington in the 2017 NBA G League Draft.

With the 16th pick in the first round, which they acquired via trade from the Wisconsin Herd earlier this week, the Swarm selected the 6-8 Huff, who averaged 10.2 points and 4.5 rebounds in 22.6 minutes per game over the course of his two seasons at Creighton. He shot .463 from beyond the three-point line (62-134) as a senior in 2016-17, ranking second in the Big East Huff, who played his first two collegiate seasons at the University of Nevada, played for the Toronto Raptors during NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

In the second round, the Swarm selected the 6-7 Dingle, who averaged 12.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 35.6 minutes per game as a senior at Temple last season, starting all 32 games for the Owls. The swingman ranked fifth in the American Athletic Conference in minutes played, ninth in three-point percentage (.385), 11th in assists, 13th in three-pointers per game (1.8) and 19th in scoring in 2016-17.

The Swarm’s third-round pick, Ingram earned Second Team All-CAA honors in 2016-17 after averaging 14.6 points, a conference-best 5.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game as a senior at UNC Wilmington. The 6-0 guard was named to the CAA All-Tournament Team as both a junior and senior, and added Third Team All-CAA honors as a junior. A native of Chapel Hill, Ingram spent his first two seasons at UNC Charlotte before transferring to UNC Wilmington.

The three players will join Hornets two-way players Mangok Mathiang and Marcus Paige, Hornets affiliate players, local tryout standouts and players returning to the NBA G League whom the Swarm have the rights to on Greensboro’s training camp roster, which will be released in the coming days. The team will hold its annual Media Day Monday, Oct. 23, before beginning training camp on Tuesday, Oct. 24.
