Wrestling Fundraiser Helps Drop Kick The Drop Out Rate

The fundraiser benefits Communities in Schools of Thomasville, which helps keep kids in school as well as supports their education.

THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Get ready for an action-packed night of wrestling for a good cause. Triad wrestlers will come together Friday, April 13, 2018 to help raise money for Communities In Schools of Thomasville.

The 8th Annual Chair City Classic features a CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Title Rematch of Zane and Dave Dawson vs. the Mid-Atlantic Outlaws. The Hurricane will also take on CW Anderson in the main event match along with many other events including the Legends Match. Wrestler Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride says it's fun for the entire family.

"The kids get down and boogie woogie, man," said McBride. "We're going to hug and kiss everybody. Somebody is going to get some sugar before we leave."

The fundraiser benefits Communities in Schools of Thomasville, which helps keep kids in school as well as supports their education.

"We help with basic needs like food and school supplies and we bring volunteers from the schools to connect with kids in need. All of those things we're able to do with support from the community," said Mary Jane Akerman with CIS Thomasville.

You can drop kick the drop out rate by attending the Chair City Classic. It's Friday, April 13th at Thomasville Middle School. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $10 at the door or you can buy your tickets early by calling 336-474-4245.
