Ravin Crossbows is recalling 220,000 arrow nocks, the company announced Monday morning.
The company says if the nock is not fully engaged with the bowstring, the crossbow can fail to discharge when the trigger is pulled and result in a bow discharging while re-nocking the arrow.
There have been 44 reports of malfunctions resulting in 23 finger injuries including 6 serious injuries.
The arrow nocks were sold at Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, Dicks Sporting Goods stores and other stores nationwide from October 2016 to November 2017. The arrows were sold with Ravin crossbows as well as sold separately.
Ravin Crossbows says to stop using the arrow nocks and contact them for a replacement.
