Water Rates To Increase As Greensboro City Council Approves $535M Budget

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Greensboro City Council has approved a $535 million budget for the 2017-18 fiscal year.

On Tuesday, city leaders approved the budget by a vote of 6 to 3. The property tax rate will stay the same, but rates for water and sewer will increase.

If you live in the city, your bill will go up about $1.38 a month and outside of the city by about $5.69 per month. The increase will pay for on-going water and sewer maintenance and other replacement needs.
