6 Students Sent To Hospital After Car Rear-Ends Charlotte School Bus

CHARLOTTE -- WCNC is reporting a school bus has crashed with multiple students on board early Wednesday.

The bus was headed towards Garinger High School reportedly carrying 37 students. A Medic says that six students have been transported to CMC and Novant with minor injuries.

The incident occurred when a vehicle rear-ended the bus. 

The accident took place on Hickory Grove Road and Marthas Ridge Drive in Charlotte.

The backup bus picked up remaining students and took them to Garinger High School. The car was removed from the scene by tow truck.
