87-Year-Old Man Arrested, Accused of Selling Drugs

MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Mooresville Police have arrested an elderly man they say sold prescription pills to an undercover officer.

On Tuesday, police arrested 87-year-old Edward Junior Williams, of China Grove, for allegedly selling 95 hydrocodone pills.

Williams is charged with three counts of trafficking in opium/heroin, one count of possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, one count of selling a controlled substance and one count of maintaining a vehicle for the sale of a controlled substance.

Williams was booked in to the Iredell County Jail under a $50,000 bond.
