All I-40 Lanes Open After Tractor-Trailer Wreck In Forsyth Co.

CLEMMONS, N.C. - All lanes of Interstate 40 near the Lewisville Clemmons Road exit have been reopened following an early morning tractor-trailer collision.

Officials with the Forsyth County 911 Center say two tractor-trailers crashed on eastbound I-40 around 4:30 a.m. The trucks jumped the median after the collision and landed in the westbound lanes, according to troopers.

Forsyth County 911 told WFMY News 2 two people were taken to the hospital; their conditions are unknown at this time.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-40 had been closed in the area since early Saturday.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
