Wentworth, NC-- The Rockingham County Sheriff's Department has arrested two men who they say is responsible for stealing almost 150 vases from area cemeteries.

The vases were reported stolen in early May from three different cemeteries. The first was a bronze vase stolen from the Overlook Cemetery located in Eden, NC.

A few days later  two more theft reports came in. Someone with the Roselawn Cemetery reported seven vases stolen and the Ridge View Memorial Garden reported 138 bronze flower vases stolen.

Michael Marcel Pratt, and Ricky William Clifton both from Eden have been arrested for 5 counts each of Disturbing Casket/Grave Marker.

A sheriff's detective was able to recover 146 of the vases. The estimated value of the bronze vases is $29,200.

The investigation is continuing and more charges could be filed.
