Greensboro NAACP Hosts Annual MLK Day Parade

Greensboro, NC -- The Greensboro branch of the NAACP will host the 2011 Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade in Greensboro.

The parade starts at 11 a.m. at the Benbow Professional Center located at 2021 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.

This year's Grand Marshals are GCS School Superintendent Maurice "Mo" Green and retired WFMY News anchor Sandra Hughes. The Honorary Grand Marshals include community activist Dr. Roy D. Moore and Mrs. Geraldine Payne.

The parade celebrates the life and legacy of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
