Elkin, NC -- You can help save a Triad theater with a simple click of the mouse.
The Reeves Theater is on Elkin's Main Street. It opened in 1941 and operated as a movie theater until 1973, but now it needs some serious repair and that's where you come in.
The Reeves Theater Restoration Project was selected by the National Trust for Historic Preservation 'This Place Matters' annual grant process. The Reeves is one of 100 projects selected out of 250 applications and one of three in North Carolina.
The top three winners will receive $25,000, $10,000 and $5,000 respectively. Winners are selected based on the number of individual supporters not total votes. This means the Reeves Façade Restoration project needs to get as many supporters as possible to go to the link below to show "This Place Matters."
Voting ends June 30th at midnight and only takes a few minutes.
