Greensboro, NC -- The new White Oak Amphitheatre will host the Fun Fourth's fireworks finale for the first time this year.

In years past, the fireworks were set off from Grimsley High School. Cars would line Wendover Avenue and the area around Friendly Center to enjoy the show.

At the new venue, the event and parking will continue to be free of charge. All coliseum parking lots are available for parking, except for fireworks shoot zone in the southeast corner of the main lot.

The Greensboro Department of Transportation plans to use signs and barricades for the nearby neighborhoods to keep out non-local traffic. People living in those areas will still be able to get home. (see interactive map below)

The concert with the Greensboro Philharmonia Orchestra will begin at 7:30 with the fireworks starting at 9:30. (see full schedule below)

City leaders estimate 60,000 people will be able to see this year's fireworks within a 3-mile radius of the coliseum complex.
