Lexington, NC -- A Davidson County man was charged with DWI after causing a crash while riding his lawnmower.
Trooper Matt Jackson, who investigated the crash, reports that Perry Weaver, 52, was driving his riding lawnmower on the shoulder of Burkhart Road Monday evening.
Jackson said that Weaver pulled out into the road in front of a 2006 Toyota. The driver of the Toyota was unable to slow down and hit Weaver knocking him off the lawnmower. The driver of a second car, a 2001 Saturn, did not see Weaver in the road and also hit him.
Troopers said the injuries to Weaver did not require him to go to the hospital. Weaver was charged with Driving While Impaired.
