Greensboro, NC -- The Evans-Blount Community Health Center will celebrate its first anniversary on Tuesday, November 22 with an event that is open to the public. Free blood pressure and glucose screenings, health information, "goodie bags" and refreshments will be available 10:00am-2:00pm. Attendees will also be able to tour the facility.
For those individuals still needing a flu shot, they will be available for only $20, or bring your insurance card. No appointment is needed for these services.
The Center provides medical services such as primary care; physical exams; monitoring of chronic health conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes; screenings and testing; immunizations; and treatment for minor injuries.
The facility is located at 2031 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Suite A in Greensboro in the Benbow Professional Center adjacent to Lane Drug. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 9:00am-7:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm. Appointments are preferred and can be made by calling (336)641-2100. Methods of payment accepted are Medicaid, Medicare, and other insurance and self-pay based on income.
