Flames start hot, take down Devils

Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Curtis Glencross had a goal and three assists as the Calgary Flames used a first period blitz to take a 6-3 win over the New Jersey Devils.

Jarome Iginla had a goal and two assists while Jay Bouwmeester added a goal and an assist for the Flames, who have won their past two. Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 35 shots in the win.

Adam Henrique and Ilya Kovalchuk had a goal and an assist apiece for the Devils, who came into the game having won four of six.

Martin Brodeur started the game, but was pulled 7:32 in after giving up two goals on five shots. Johan Hedberg was touched for four goals on nine shots the rest of the way.
