Sheriff: Convicted Felon Charged With Intimidating State Witness

Lexington, NC -- A man already scheduled for court is now charged with intimidating a witness in the same case.

Deputies said they received a report that 50 year-old Tony Clark of Thomasville, held a state witness at gunpoint and threatened them not to testify.

Investigators said Clark is a convicted felon and didn't want the witness to testify in his upcoming trial. After getting the report, officers said they obtained a search warrant for Clark's house as part of their investigation.

Detectives said while searching the home they found and seized 11 guns from Clark's house.

Clark is charged with: Felony Obstruction of Justice, Felony Intimidating a Witness, and 11 Counts of Felony Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.

Clark is in the Davidson County Detention Center under a $600,000 bond.
