Rockingham County, NC -- An early morning car accident killed two people near Eden.
Troopers received the call shortly after 5:30 a.m.
The car, with one driver and two passengers, was traveling east on N.C. 700 near Country Lane Circle.
Highway Patrol says the car ran off the road, hit an embankment, went airborne, and then hit a tree.
Lauren Taylor London, 23, of Eden was in the rear passenger-side seat at the time of the accident. She was not wearing a seat belt.
Her sister, Meredith Ann London, 18, was in the front passenger-side seat and was wearing a seat belt.
Both women died in the accident.
As of Monday, July 23, NC Highway Patrol said the driver of the car is 19 year-old Taylor Gayle White. She is charged with Driving While Impaired.
Troopers say other charges are pending.
The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, but says alcohol was a factor.
