MINNEAPOLIS - Police are on the scene at Target Headquarters in downtown Minneapolis after a report of shots fired Friday morning.
Police spokesman Sergeant Steve McCarty confirms that a call of shots fired came in from the Retek building, 50 South 10th Street at 11:10 a.m. That building is part of the downtown Target campus. SWAT teams are on the scene, but there is no confirmation of an active shooter.
Target spokesperson Molly Snyder tells KARE 11 that there has been a "security incident" declared in the building and that all employees have been ordered to stay inside their offices until the situation is resolved.
Dispatchers say that officers on the scene called in a code 4, which means that the situation is under control.
KARE 11 has multiple crews headed to the scene and will have the latest as it becomes available.
