Most People Have The Holiday Off, But These People Are Working & Some of The Busiest

Greensboro, NC -- When you think of people who are working during the holiday, retailers are number one on the list. 

Here's a list of workers, who have to work on holidays:

Public Servants: Police, firemen, ambulance drivers, 911 dispatchers, plus all those transit workers.
Utility Workers: This includes power plant, gas pipelines, water and sewer systems, not to mention emergency plumbers on call for those holiday drain that have to unclog kitchen drains.

"Nobody really wants to work on Thanksgiving, but we have a lot of emergencies that happen on Thanksgiving Day," said Ron Massengale at John's Plumbing, Air Condition & Heating. "For the guy on call it's definitely not a holiday." 

Travel Workers: Everyone from airline pilots and baggage handlers to turnpike toll takers and, TSA screeners. 
Hospitality Workers: This includes hotel staff members, restaurant chefs, wait-staff.
• Healthcare and pharmacy workers.
• Soldiers and sailors, spacemen and submariners. 
• Reporters and entertainers, sports figures and all the supporting cast members.

Most workers laboring on a holiday think of it as just another day.
