New York, NY - The 86th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade got underway at 9:00am Thursday in New York City with the Triad's own NC A&T Blue and Gold Marching Machine.

WFMY News 2 stayed in touch with the band throughout today to find out all about its Macy's experience.

Before the band and the Golden Delight started on the parade route Thursday morning, they talked with News 2's Tracey McCain about their historic experience.

Ronald Moore, the Operations Director for the band showed his Aggie Pride and expressed his excitement as the band participated in it's first Macy's Parade.

Thursday night News 2's Lauren Melvin talked to three members of the band about the experience. Quincy Dickens, Cindy Cil and Troy Hayden talked to Lauren via Skype about the day, what it meant to them and how all their practice paid off!
