WASHINGTON -- The North Carolina mountains are known for producing some of the country's best Christmas trees. Well, this year another one of the state's trees will be on display in the White House.

First Lady Michelle Obama officially received the tree Friday; it's from Peak Farms in Ashe County.

Rusty and Beau Estes, 2012 National Christmas Tree Association Grand Champion winners, own the farm in Jefferson, NC.

The White House picked the 19-foot Frasier Fir tree in early October and harvested it this month. The Christmas tree will be displayed in the White House's Blue Room throughout the holiday season.

Members of the National Christmas Tree Association have presented the White House with the official Christmas tree each year since 1966.
