WFMY News 2 -- Two Triad women with ties to the conflict between Israel and Hamas say the answer to peace lies in continued prayer and the next generation.
Marikay Abuzuaiter has family in Gaza, while Marilyn Forman Chandler has friends and family in Israel. Both women are part of Greensboro's Interfaith Community and have been to the region this year. They say their families are fine, but fear that the shelling could begin if both sides don't come up with a permanent peace agreement.
They say they look to religious leaders of all faiths to take the lead in praying for peace but admit that it may take the next generation to finally put an end to the violence.
On Forman Chandler's most recent trip she says she was encouraged after visiting the Arab-Jewish community center in Jaffa Israel.
