Triad -- High pressure has been in control this weekend. That is why we had the blue skies and well above average temperatures. As the high remains parked off the East Coast, we will be able to squeeze out a few more mild days.
Monday and Tuesday will be the warmest days yet. Highs will be close to 70. Skies will be variably cloudy. Keep in mind that the average high is 55 degrees. That means we will be running 15 degrees above average for the first week in December.
There is a cool-down in sight. On Wednesday, a cold front will pull through. It will bring more clouds and a 30% shower chance Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The high on Wednesday will still be mild and in the low 60s.
The bigger change will be felt on Thursday. With mostly sunny skies, highs will be in the low 50s. The cooler air will be short lived. We will be back in the upper 50s on Friday and the low 60s over the weekend.
