Winston-Salem, NC -- The Winston Salem Police Department has wrapped up their investigation of an accident involving a Winston Salem/Forsyth County School bus that was transporting students to Northwest Midddle School this morning.
The accident took place at the 3700 Block of Indiana Avenue and Perimeter Point Boulevard at approximately 6:27AM.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the Bus #92 was stopped, with stop arm functioning, facing west on Indiana Ave.
43-year-old Michael Wolfe, was traveling east on Indiana Ave., and tried to slow down when he saw the school bus and lost control of his car and it spun into the side of the stopped school bus.
Wolfe was charged with failure to maintain a travel lane, driving while license revoked, and failure to stop for stopped school bus.
No injuries were reported.
