Drought Conditions Now Affect 60 Percent Of NC

Raleigh, NC  -- The North Carolina Department Of Environment And Natural Resources have released the latest drought numbers for the Tarheel State.

The report shows that the lack of rainfall has left 65 counties in moderate drought and left another 16 counties abnormally dry for this time of year.

According to the NCDENR, fall is usually one of the driest seasons for North Carolina. 

Our state has had some form of drought conditions in 7 of the last 10 years during fall.
