Triad --  Christmas is almost here.  The good news is that the weather shouldn't give you too many problems this time around.

If you are traveling or shopping in the Carolinas on Sunday, it will be a beautiful day. There will be plenty of sun with highs in the mid 50s.  The wind should die down from what it was on Friday and Saturday.

A low pressure system will approach for the beginning of the week.  That will bring an  increase in clouds late Sunday and into Monday.  There is also a chance of showers on Christmas Eve.  The rain shouldn't be heavy but you may be dodging a few drops, especially toward afternoon.  Highs will be in the upper 40s.

Christmas Day will be another mainly cloudy one.  Highs will be in the low 50s.  Again, there could be a few showers during the day.

The best chance of  heavy rain will be on Tuesday night and Wednesday.  After Christmas sale shopping might require a little more substantial rain gear.  Highs will be in the upper 40s.

If the sun is what you're looking for, Thursday and Friday are the days for you.  Highs will be in the upper 40s.
