Triad --  A disturbance is moving from the Deep South, toward the Carolinas.  That will bring precipitation to the area overnight.  At the same time, temperatures will fall to the 30s.

The good news is that temps should remain above freezing though the night.  Plus, rain totals should be fairly light.  Most of us will pick up less than a tenth of an inch of rain by morning.  Problems with slick roads aren't expected in the Triad.

There is a small possibility of a wintry mix in Alleghany, Grayson and Carroll Counties.  Accumulations would likely be light and only in the highest elevations.  At this time, there are no winter weather watches, warnings or advisories.

After the showers move out on Sunday morning, the rest of the day will be cool but beautiful.  Skies will become mostly sunny with highs in the low 50s.  Monday will be another cool and sunny day with highs in the upper 40s.

A warming trend will begin by mid week.  Highs return to the mid 50s on Wednesday and Thursday.  We could be in the low to mid 60s on Friday and Saturday.  The best rain chance will be Wednesday night and Thursday.
