Greensboro, NC -- After investigating a fatal police chase that killed one local woman last week, police say they are left with more questions than answers.
Investigators searched Amber Nashay Carter's car after she led police on a chase Jan. 3. Susan Danielsen, public information officer for Greensboro Police, said officers were unable to find anything illegal in the car Tuesday, leaving police to wonder why Carter led them on a chase to begin with.
Danielsen says the case is closed as there are no other leads.

On Jan. 3, Corporal J.L. Barber noticed Carter driving well below the speed limit around 4:45 p.m.; he also said Carter, 21, refused to pass his patrol car. When Barber attempted to pull the car over, Carter sped away and a brief chase ensued.
Carter later lost control of her car, and wrecked it on Pinecroft Road, where she died on scene.
She was the only person in the car.
