Greensboro, NC -- As a dad, this kind of stuff makes me cringe.

I've been pretty angry, to be honest.

These four kids hit recently are 6, 7, 8 and 11-years-old.

If it's an adult, even a teenager versus a kid in elementary school, who's supposed to be the responsible one?

Look, earlier this week, we showed you the average stopped bus slows you down by 30 seconds.

The shortest stop only took 13 seconds!

If you need proof look at the story on digtriad.com.

The headline says "How Long Does A Bus Really Take?"

But let's step back for a second.

This isn't as much about cameras on buses or parents holding their kids hands as it is a matter of personal responsibility.

As a driver with the privilege of handling a vehicle by myself - I've been trusted by the state to follow the rules.

That's the deal we all sign up for when we get one of these (a driver's license).

You don't have to do what anyone tells you, especially me.

But I want to personally plead with you and your conscience.

Just stop.

Our children depend on it.
