Greensboro, NC -- A woman from Georgia was charged Thursday, with the death of man killed in a car crash on Christmas Eve.
Greensboro Police said Ashleigh Lynn Mellon of Atlanta, GA has been charged with Felony Death by Vehicle and Felony Serious Injury by Vehicle, Driving While Impaired and Careless and Reckless Driving.
Police also charged her with Hit and Run for damages she cause to the guardrail prior to the fatal accident.
On December 24, emergency workers were dispatched around 3:25 p.m. to Fleming Rd. for a serious vehicle collision. The investigating officer said the accident happened when Mellon was driving north on Fleming Rd. and crossed the center line at Clarkson Rd.
Mellon's car hit an SUV head-on, driven by 29-year-old Ronald John Beardslee, of High Point, NC. Beardslee died at the scene.
Two passengers, including a child in Beardslee's SUV were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Mellon was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing by the Crash Reconstruction Unit of the Greensboro Police Dept.
