Philadelphia, PA -- Four days after Jaxx Denny's second expansion surgery, his parents were hoping they'd be on their way home to Reidsville.
However, Jaxx has to spend one more night in the hospital.
According to Pete Denny, Jaxx is doing great. But his doctors are being extra cautious.
Doctors want to keep an eye on Jaxx for one more night because of what happened after his last expansion surgery.
Four months ago, heart complications almost killed him.
This time, Pete Denny said Jaxx hasn't had any heart trouble.
His parents are planning to bring him home on Saturday.
Jaxx will have to have another expansion surgery in four months.
When Jaxx gets bigger, he'll get adult-sized rods which will only have to be expanded until he's done growing.
