Yanceyville, NC -- A Yanceyville outreach group hosted a school safety forum Sunday and drew a standing-room-only crowd.

Members of the County Outreach Ministry invited the Caswell County School Superintendent, Dr. Douglas Barker,  in to Alice's Educational Wonderland Child Care Center to talk about the safety concerns of students and parents in the school system.

Organizer Alice Robinson said parents and students from five of the county's schools attended the event. Guests asked the superintendent questions and expressed concerns about school safety. And, members of the school board were in attendance to help address the concerns.

County Outreach capped off the event with a hotdog lunch for participants.

The County Outreach Ministry, made up of more than eight Caswell County churches, is a community service group. Members work to supply needy members of the community with clothing and food.

If you'd like to visit the group at Alice's Educational Wonderland, call 336-694-9408 or visit the group at 225 N. Third St. in Yanceyville.
