Triad -- The official high at the Piedmont Triad International Airport on Saturday was 64. The average high for the date is 48. If that wasn't quite warm enough for you, you're in luck. It gets ever warmer on Sunday.
A cold front is pulling closer to the Carolinas but it is still more than a day out. That means the wind on Sunday will pull more warmth and humidity out of the Gulf of Mexico. Tonight and tomorrow morning, will be foggy again. Lows will only fall to the mid 50s (keeping tomorrow's low warmer than the average high). The fog could be dense in spots so take it easy when heading out to church on Sunday morning.
After the fog clears, we will begin to see at least partly sunny skies. Highs will make it to the low to mid 70s by the afternoon. Other than a few sprinkles, most of the rain will hold off until Monday as the front gets closer.
Monday will be mild, considering the 70% rain chance. Highs will be in the low 60s. The front won't make too much progress through Wednesday. That will keep our rain chance around until then. Highs will begin to fall on Tuesday however. Highs will be held to the 40s, making for a chilly rain.
We should see the sun again by the end of the week. Highs will return to the low 50s, with partly cloudy skies.
