Greensboro--We have had a warm and dry weekend, but that is all about to change as wet and colder weather will return to the Piedmont in the new week.

With a mix of sun and clouds we will warm into the mid and upper 70's this afternoon. It will be a great day to get outdoors.

A cold front is about to bring a big change. Rain will spread into the area around daybreak on Monday. Even with the rain, afternoon temperatures should reach 62,

The front will slowly move south to the Triad by early Tuesday. This will allow colder air to move in. Add the clouds and more rain, and Tuesday's high temperature will only be in the lower 40's. As the cold rain continues Tuesday night's lows will fall into the upper 30's.

Over the three day period, Monday through Wednesday, rainfall amounts could be between 1" and 2" over the Piedmont.

The sky will become partly sunny late Wednesday. Seasonal temperatures will be with us Wednesday through Saturday.

Our normal high temperature is 48, and our normal low is 29.
