Greensboro, NC -- Crews in Greensboro are working throughout the night to plow and salt the city's icy roads.

40 snow plow trucks hit the roads carrying 4-to-6 tons of salt. By the end of the night, crews are expected to dump 600 tons of salt.

The trucks plowed and salted the city's busiest roads like Wendover and Battleground Avenues and Lee Street first. Their secondary route to plow was the roads feeding into those busier roadways.

The crews will be working into the morning to clear roadways.
