Greensboro, NC -- You can't count the millions of Justin Bieber fans, but his star power, could be keeping a nine-year-old girl alive.
Her name is Marlie Karns. She has a rare nervous system deficiency called aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase deficiency.
She can't move, can hardly talk, and can only eat with a feeding tube. But her great love in life is Justin Bieber.
Marlie experiences seizures and spends more of her time in bed.
She can't even go to school but she's already beat the odds. Many of the girls with her condition died by the time they're seven-years-old.
Her mom credits, at least some of that, to Justin Bieber. When Marlie hears his songs or watches his movie, her mom said they help Marlie cope.
Her health and love of Justin Bieber has been documented on the Facebook page "Get Marlie 2 The Biebs."
Her story has been picked up on Twitter, too. When the hash-tag '#MarlieNeedsJustin" caught on with other Bieber fans, it was retweeted more than 5,000 times-even Justin Bieber retweeted it!
The family lives in Wilmington and they're headed to the concert in Greensboro Saturday, hoping that hash-tag got Justin's attention and a chance for Marlie to meet him in person.
You can help Marlie by tweeting #MarlieNeedsJustin.
