Winston-Salem, NC -- More than 2,000 customers are without power after an auto accident in Winston-Salem knocked down power lines Sunday.
Police dispatch says the accident happened right before 12:15 p.m. in the 2000 block of Polo Road near Miller Point Drive. The accident knocked down power lines, leaving many without power.
Duke Energy is reporting that their are currently 2,014 outages in Forsyth County.
Police have not received any reports of injuries in the accident.
That section of Polo Road is closed, while crews work to clean up the scene and restore power. There is no estimate for when the road will reopen.
