Winston-Salem, NC-- Police in Winston-Salem are looking for the person or persons who damage the windows of almost two dozen cars.
Officers said the incidents happened between 4 pm Sunday and 5:30 am Monday. Investigators believe the windows were shot with a BB gun or pellet gun.
In two of the cases, people were inside the car when the windows were shot, but no one was injured. In all, detectives have 19 reports of cars being damaged.
Police released this information on a possible suspect car: an older model, possibly late 1970s, large red or dark colored vehicle - possibly an Oldsmobile, Buick or other General Motors type vehicle.
Detectives said they investigated a similar incident Friday, February 8 around 7 pm. Several cars in Hanes Mall parking lot were damaged from a BB or pellet gun.
It is unknown at this time if the perpetrator is the same in all these cases.

Tuesday, the Davie County Sheriff's Office said they are investigating similar crimes. A detective working the case said that eight vehicles which includes cars and trucks had windows shot with a BB gun or pellet gun. Investigators said the vehicles were parked in driveways and along the street in the Oak Valley Community when they were damaged.
They believe the shootings happened overnight on Sunday or early Monday. No one was injured.
Deputies said they have been in contact with the Winston Salem Police Department since the crimes are so similar.
