Greensboro--The low pressure system that developed over Eastern North Carolina yesterday and brought snow to the state, has moved off the New England Coast. While it is bringing snow to the Northeast, it is producing brisk winds in the Piedmont today.
A brisk northwesterly wind will add to the chill in the area today. Our high temperature should reach near 40, but the winds will make it fell like 30. After winds gusting near 30 mph this afternoon, they will relay and become near calm tonight.
High pressure will move off the Carolina coast on Monday. On the back side of the high, winds will turn to the southwest. this combined with sunshine will cause temperatures to rise to around 50 on Monday.
A cold front will approach and increase clouds Monday night. The front will cross the area during Tuesday. It will bring a 50% chance of rain during the day. we could see .25" of rain by Tuesday night.
Wednesday and Tursday should be mostly sunny and dry with highs around 50.
Our normal high is 53, and our normal low is 28.
